"Shepherd's Heart for the Family" at the Archdiocese of Omaha, NE

The Archdiocese of Omaha, Nebraska has commissioned The St. John Paul II Foundation to offer a 2-year cycle of our Shepherd's Heart initiative. The ongoing education and formation program will be offered to the permanent deacons and their wives.

The topic for this formation day is “The Divorced and Remarried: Challenges and Triumphs in Pastoral Care”. As the divorce rate remains high, how do we meet the pastoral needs of separated spouses, the civilly divorced, and those who have attempted a second marriage, all while drawing them into a full embrace of the Church’s teaching on marriage?
